From November 28 to 30, 2023, the 5th edition of the WNE (World Nuclear Exhibition), dedicated to civil nuclear energy, took place in Paris. Onet Technologies actively participated in this event by presenting its activities, innovations, and by meeting with clients, students, and other stakeholders. The company also took the opportunity to sign partnerships.

This edition was marked by the signing of three important agreements for Onet Technologies, highlighting its key role in the evolution of the nuclear industry:

✔️ In collaboration with newcleo, a major player in the SMR (Small Modular Reactors) market, Onet Technologies signed a cooperation agreement on engineering. The objective is to develop the commissioning of a 30 MWe demonstration and irradiation reactor, as well as a fuel manufacturing plant. Onet Technologies will assist newcleo in optimizing its equipment.

✔️ A partnership was also concluded with Graphitech Nuclear in the field of nuclear decommissioning. This partnership aims to develop laser cutting technology applied to the decommissioning of graphite technology nuclear reactors.

✔️ Finally, Alain Gauvin, General Manager of Onet Technologies, signed the Responsible Supplier Relations and Purchasing Charter of the Business Mediator on the EDF stand. This approach is part of Onet’s long-standing commitment to Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR).

Onet Technologies at WNE: An opportunity to discuss the challenges of our sector

Emilie de Lombarès, Chairman of the Board of Onet, and Maxime Michel-Noel, Director of Development at Onet Technologies, emphasize the importance for the company to be present at this exhibition and to meet national and international players in the nuclear industry. Ludovic Vandendriesche, General Manager of newcleo, also shares his view on the partnership agreement between Onet Technologies and newcleo concerning SMRs (Small Modular Reactors).

The WNE: A Springboard for the Future of Onet Technologies

This exhibition also raised awareness among young people interested in our professions and presented our activities to those undergoing career changes. Onet Technologies plans to create 500 jobs across all activity sectors to support the new projects in the nuclear industry.
